Florists in the United States range from neighborhood flower shops with a walk-in cooler to studio designers who work only by appointment for weddings and events. Most retail florists build arrangements to order, deliver the same day when you call before early afternoon, and belong to a wire network (FTD, Teleflora or BloomNet) that passes out-of-town orders to a local shop. Ordering from the shop directly rather than through a national website usually means more flowers for the money, because no order-gatherer takes a cut. Flower markets and wholesalers sell loose stems and bunches, often early in the morning, and many now open to the public. Flower farms grow seasonal blooms such as dahlias, peonies and sunflowers and sell by the bucket, by subscription or as pick-your-own.

We wanted to thank Palmer flowers for the lovely bouquet that we received all the way from fort collins in monument. The beautiful flowers have made our day brighter every time we see them and we love them very much. If you want flowers that last a long time and are just as beautiful please consider Palmer Flowers!

My wedding bouquet was an absolute dream! Matched the picture I sent them for reference really closely! All of my friends and family could not believe how gorgeous this bouquet was. My husband said I can order the same one every year for our anniversary since these were the most beautiful flowers ever!

UPDATED 5/9/2026. Palmer Flowers reached out to me by responding to this review, as well as calling and emailing me, wanting to make things right. I agreed to a replacement bouquet, and they added a box of chocolates AND wanted to refund my money. I declined the refund, accepted the replacement flowers and chocolates, which were delivered within hours of my call to them. This bouquet is gorgeous and wowed everyone in the office it was delivered to. Thank you Palmer Flowers for making things right. I appreciate you! Original review: Like others have posted here, what was delivered was not what was pictured/ordered/expected. And I spent a significant amount of money, expecting the quality Palmers used to deliver. While the bouquet delivered is pretty, itβs lacking the professional quality I expect, especially for a bouquet costing over $100. Wonβt be making that mistake again.

I have ordered from Palmers before, but I wonβt be in the future. I spent over a hundred dollars to get the βdeluxeβ (upgraded mid size) version of the bouquet pictured on the left. They delivered it this morning (middle picture). I was quite disappointed because it didnβt really resemble the picture on their website. I complained, they immediately agreed it was not up to standard and offered to make and deliver another βTuscanβ bouquet. The 2nd attempt bouquet is on the right. It is nicer, but again, still looks like a bunch of flowers stuck in a vase and not professionally arranged. I appreciate their attempt to make it right, but, I wonβt be ordering from them again.

My husband sent Valentine's flowers to me and my daughter who were in the midst of moving. A dozen red roses and loads of Stargazer lillies set in some charming greenery and flowers. And they lasted! Every day or so, more of the lillies opened giving us a spectacular display of color -- they were still going strong 2 weeks later. If you're going to spend money on fresh flowers, Palmers did it right!
